Mammut Gerat (W.N. 63a)
Hello,
my name is Alex and I know some of you from the "Kernwerktrip" in November or of my tours with "Bunkertju." I am interested for many years at the Atlantic Wall and make regular excursions.
This week I was in Ijmuiden and I have a question to WN 62a:
What was that for a large building behind the V 143 and south of the Beo.Turm?
Was it an Aggregate Unterstand or Water reservoirs?
Or is it only after WWII was built, some parts concrete saw after newer date.
gruß

Indead as Harras wrote the resevoir was build before world war 2, on a artillery panorma in the book Seefront IJmuiden page 23 you can see the air ducts (as on your nice winter picture).+AW+ schreef: Or is it only after WWII was built, some parts concrete saw after newer date.Harras schreef:It was build before the Second World War.

Bedankt voor het mooie begroeting...
and thanxx for the answer of my question.
So the Fl 246 of Dünenberg must lie next to the Waterstorage... I am right?
Is the Muni Regelbau still to enter?
kind regards
Alex

Ruud,
Alex is from Germany and can read and understand "nederlands" but writing and speaking is a little bit difficult. So I think it's no problem for him and us to use english ( I think almost evrybody speaks and understands english on the forum).

The Fl 246 is still there, but he is used by the owners of an appartement in the high building (flat ).

Hallo Ruud,
